startupnamegenerator.com is a startup name generator and trademark screening tool operated by Nomenco. This page explains what we collect, why, and who processes it. Last updated 20 August 2026.

What we collect

• What you type. The business descriptions and names you enter to generate names, check a .com, or run a Trademark Check. These are processed to return a result and stored so the service works across your session.
• Your email address, when you run a Trademark Check, join the drop list, or request an API key. We use it to send you the report or key, to run the free-first-check and credit system, and, if you opt in, to email new checked names. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
• Payment details, when you buy a Launch Pack, a top-up, or a plan. These are entered directly with our payment processor; we never see or store your card number.
• Technical data: your IP address and approximate country (for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and regional context), a session identifier cookie, and basic usage events (which action ran, and when). We do not build advertising profiles.

Who processes your data

We use a small set of processors, each only for the function named. We do not sell your data.

• Anthropic: generates candidate names from your description.
• Verisign RDAP: authoritative live .com availability lookups.
• USPTO, EUIPO, and our trademark data provider: the US and EU registry searches behind a Trademark Check.
• Resend: delivers report and account emails.
• Stripe: processes payments; card data is handled by Stripe, not by us.
• Supabase: stores accounts, checks, and credits.
• Vercel: hosts the site and provides infrastructure-level analytics.
• Namecheap: the affiliate registrar the “register the domain” links point to; if you follow one and register, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How long we keep it

We keep account and check records while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, honor credits, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Domain and trademark results are cached for a limited period so repeat lookups are fast; caches expire. You can ask us to delete your account data, subject to records we must retain for legal reasons.

Cookies

We use one first-party session cookie so the generator works across a visit. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email we send. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise them, contact us using the details below.

Agents and the API

When you use our MCP server or HTTP API with an issued key, we log the calls made with that key for metering and abuse prevention. The public, no-key agent endpoint is metered by IP only and does not require an email.
