A name it suggested is already taken. Why?
Domain availability changes by the minute. We check the .com live at the moment we generate or check a name, but a name that was free then can be registered by someone else shortly after. Claim a name you like quickly, and re-check right before you buy.
Can it screen trademarks inside ChatGPT?
Not in chat. The ChatGPT app and public agent tools do two things: generate names whose .com is free, and check a .com’s availability. The full US and EU trademark screen (the Trademark Check) runs on the website. Your first Trademark Check per email is free; see pricing for the rest.
Is the trademark check legal clearance?
No. It is an automated search of the USPTO and EUIPO registers that surfaces potential conflicts. It is not legal advice, not a clearance opinion, and never reports a name as cleared or safe. Before you file or commit, have a trademark attorney run full clearance.
How do I use it with my AI agent?
There is an MCP server and HTTP API with a free self-serve key. Generation and .com checks are free; the trademark tools are metered.
