These terms govern your use of startupnamegenerator.com, operated by Nomenco. By using the site, the API, or the MCP server, you agree to them. Last updated 20 August 2026.

What the service does

We generate brandable startup names whose .com was available at the moment of generation, checked live against domain records, and we screen a name against the US (USPTO) and EU (EUIPO) trademark registers. The same tools are available to developers and AI agents over an HTTP API and an MCP server.

The Trademark Check is a search, not legal advice

This is the most important term on the page. A Trademark Check is an automated search of trademark registers. It is not legal advice, not a clearance opinion, and not a guarantee. It never certifies that a name is cleared, safe, conflict-free, or available to use. Registers change daily, coverage is limited to the databases searched, and an automated search cannot weigh every factor a human examiner or court would. Do not make legal or business decisions solely on its output. Before you file a mark or commit a company to a name, have a qualified trademark attorney run full clearance. Domain availability likewise reflects a point-in-time check and can change by the minute.

Payments

Generating names and checking .com availability are free. Your first Trademark Check per email is free. Beyond that, Trademark Checks are paid: a one-time Launch Pack, top-up credits, or a monthly plan, at the prices shown on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. One-time purchases grant a fixed number of checks; plans renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current period. Because each check consumes a live registry search at our cost, checks already run are not refundable; for any billing problem, contact us and we will make it right.

Acceptable use

Use the service for its intended purpose. Do not abuse it, attempt to exceed or circumvent rate limits, resell access without permission, or use it to break the law. API and MCP access is metered per key or per IP; we may throttle or suspend access that threatens the service or its cost. The public agent endpoint is provided as-is for reasonable, good-faith use.

Affiliate links

Links to register a domain point to Namecheap through our affiliate link. If you register through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the domain status we report, which is always the live registry result.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that results are accurate, complete, or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on a name generation, a domain check, or a Trademark Check. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service changes; the date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
